Learn To Let Go
Our ego stories are deep-rooted, and until we begin the journey of spiritual ascension define who we believe we are as an identity. Holding on to these stories and false illusions, especially holding onto our negative ego's destructive inner demons, are major causes of fear-based subconscious reactions in the body. These unresolved conflicts result in that tight, blocked or sickening feeling in the gut that signals stress and anxiety. While these emotions certainly feel real while they last, they are in fact triggered by the negative thoughts and belief systems, the memory of a prior situation, that still remains active in the mind. Seeing the illusion of those memories, from the perspective of consciousness, your wholeness, existing in the now, is the perceptual shift that frees your mind and body. Then letting go of the past happens naturally, and you experience true emotional harmony.
Face Your Fear
Get centered, then look at the situation, whether real or imagined, that is triggering fear, and affirm to yourself: I welcome this as a learning and growth opportunity. It is revealing to me where I am existing in mental bondage and not yet free. It is okay to not know the outcome. Then simply imagine, in your mind, the worst thing happening that causes your fear. Bring the visualization of the experience of loss, failure, or whatever it is you're afraid of that haunts your mind. Visualize it over and over again, as an observer to the event, until it begins to lose its emotional charge. Until you realize that no matter what ever happens to you, the eternal consciousness which witnesses everything, will always be fine. As one witnesses their ego's phantom death, their true essence rises from its ashes to fly away with new wings, freed from its bondage.
Open Your Heart
Stress and fear constrict your body and close the heart down. If we become judgmental and critical, our life starts to feel empty, disconnected and meaningless. As you become more present in the now moment, more sensitive to your own and others' feelings, to the underlying concerns, worries and fears that most people have, your natural kindness, compassion and empathy are cultivated. These qualities develop deep inner core strength, peace and the courage to face anything life presents to you. An open heart, balanced with common sense and good discernment brings synchronistic happenings and vibrationally compatible people to share your life experiences. All experiences begin to share a profound meaning of interconnection and meaning to our everyday existence.
Releasing Blame
Blaming those who have hurt, wronged or betrayed us causes our heart to harden, makes us feel like a victim and just perpetuates our own suffering. People do hurtful things because they do not feel loved; they are not at peace within themselves. With this clarity focus on being fully conscious and present in your own life, and it will be easier to let go of blame, resentment and negative emotions that interfere with your mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. This is the essence of unconditional forgiveness.
Speak The Truth
To be present without any agenda (one of the signs of being awake) requires self-honesty. You have got to be willing to look within and examine the stories you are still believing, whether it is about self-doubt, guilt, resentment, judgment, arrogance or whatever. As you face these stories of your life experience, breathe into them and see through their illusion and they will start to drop away. What you do not feed with your belief system withers away. Then it becomes easy to speak the truth in your life, because you're no longer caught up in trying to defend or justify your ego. You learn to accept what is as a greater truth.
Be A Listener
The best way to invite honesty and to attract loving people is to be interested in them. If you are present with them, you will establish the level of trust that makes them want to open up and share themselves with you. Listening is one of the most important keys to being present. Listen to others, listen to the sounds in your environment, and especially, listen to the sound of your own thoughts. Listen to the silence beyond thoughts, to the silence that you are. Listening, in turn, opens you to the experience of yourself as a living, feeling, vibrating, conscious human being.
